The picture's caption reads:
"An Exact Representation of the Death of Capt. James Cook at Karalakeooa Bay on
OWHAYHEE on Feb. 14, 1779." The spelling is a phonetic representation of the
the era's unwritten Hawaiian language. This
original antique print, in excellent condition, is part of the "Hikaroa
