Hawaiian Reverie Hawaiian composers have always taken license to write songs about whatever caught their fancy--be it the flashing eyes of a pretty girl, the beauty of certain places, or a little inter-island ship. Many of my paintings follow that same tradition, having botherig to do with any history but my own. Glimpses of places and people, some from faraway childhood, moments that express something essential about the Hawai'i I've known: these have a way of bothering me until I put them down on canvas.
